Urban Grid are a well established Civil Contractor that engaged Dapper Apps to develop an app and internal business system. It is used to automate their business processes, improving the quality and speed of communications between the business administration and their contractors in the field. Working in a highly regulated industry segment (connecting residential dwellings to the gas mains) they have a requirement to capture a lot of information. The paper processes were extremely time consuming and difficult to administer, resulting in the development of a custom enterprise system.
As the major WA contractor to ATCO Gas, Urban Grid receive a high volume of jobs from their client on a daily basis. With the old process, these jobs would need to be allocated, all the relevant forms would be printed out and distributed to the staff.
